Use Data Privacy Week 2023 to Plan for the Year

Data Privacy Week 2023 has arrived!

Privacy Week 2023 is January 22 to January 28. Time to celebrate! Unless you’re WhatsApp, who was fined $6 million by Ireland for violating GDPR. You can read more about the WhatsApp Privacy fine here, which gives a very good breakdown of why WhatsApp was fined. The short version: not getting consent, which is a key tenant of the ZenPrivata Top 15 privacy practices.

Be sure to always get consent from people when collecting their information, and to make sure the consent is given actively. This means an unchecked box asking for consent that the user has to actively click on. Consent should never be assumed or “given” by not objecting. Even having a consent box that is checked yes by default could lead to a fine.

But for those of us not named WhatsApp or Meta, we can be better about our privacy and save $6 million. Privacy Week is a great time to plan for the year. With a privacy plan, you can then spend the year implementing the plan.

At ZenPrivata, instead of celebrating with self-promotion events and webinars, we’re instead celebrating with helpful free services.

For Privacy Week, we're offering a FREE customized privacy plan for qualified organizations, no strings attached. Use this plan to make 2023 organized and effective.

And if you love the plan, we're offering 6 months of full access to our platform to help streamline the implementation of the plan for only $2600. Or you can implement the plan on your own.

To take advantage, visit ZenPrivata.com or email us at Hello@ZenPrivata.com.
