Virginia Passes New Privacy Law, Other States Likely To Follow Suit

Virginia yesterday passed a comprehensive data privacy law.

With this law, Virginia joins California with its CCPA/CPRA and likely will pave the way for more states to pass similar laws, until there is a US national privacy law. The law goes into effect on January 1 2023.

If you have any customers or maintain data of anyone in Virginia, we highly recommend checking your privacy posture and compliance. ZenPrivata’s Privacy as a Service Solutions can help.
